Xiaomi launched updated Redmi Note 5 in China

The Redmi Note 5 launched in China is the updated version of the Redmi Note 5 Pro which was launched in India.

It comes with the same Snapdragon 636 processor same display and 4000 mAh battery.It is available in China in 3/4/6 GB RAM and 32/64 GB internal storage variants.But the front camera which was a 20 MP camera is now changed to a 13 MP camera and the 12 MP rear camera comes with an F/1.9 lens compared to a F/2.2 lens in Indian version,a larger 1.4μm pixels compared to 1.25μm and also has dual PDAF for faster focusing.

The Indian version comes with Android 7.1.2 with MIUI 9,but the Redmi Note 5 in China comes with Android Oreo 8.0 with MIUI 9 and also supports Project Treble.It is available in Black,Blue,Gold and Rose Gold colours.The Redmi Note 5 in China is available at starting price from RMB 1099 ($173) which translates to roughly Rs.11,294.75.
