There is not much difference between the Redmi 5a and the 10.or D.They come with the same processor and same cameras.The Redmi 5a comes with MIUI 9 which is a custom UI whereas the 10.or D runs on Stock Android.The Redmi 5a was available at Rs.4,999 for first 5 million units,but after selling 5 million units of Redmi 5a Xiaomi putted the Redmi 5a to it's original price of Rs.5,999 for 2 GB and 16 GB variant.The 3 GB and 32 GB variant is priced at Rs.6,999.10.or D is priced at Rs.4,999 for 2 GB and 16 GB variant and Rs.5,999 for 3 GB and 32 GB variant.Both the variants of 10.or are about Rs.1,000 cheaper than both the Redmi 5a variants.

Redmi 5a doesn't come with a fingerprint scanner while the 10.or D comes with a fingerprint scanner.If you like to do customisations on your device then the Redmi 5a is a good choice but if you like Stock Android then the 10.or D is a good choice.
